1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Smartr, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the App. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Smartr after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Smartr is a personal finance and spending tracker application that provides:

• Spending summaries across three time periods: Today, This Week, and This Month.
• Secure bank account connection through Plaid for automatic transaction syncing.
• Spending predictions and category race tracking on your real financial data.
• Subscription and recurring charge detection.
• Category-based spending breakdowns.
• Budget tracking and spending streak features.

Smartr is designed for informational purposes and is not a financial advisory service. We do not provide financial, investment, or tax advice.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of Smartr, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Bank Account Connection

Smartr uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. ("Plaid") to connect to your bank accounts. By connecting your bank account, you authorize Smartr to access your financial data through Plaid. Smartr does not store your bank login credentials. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's terms and privacy policy.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Smartr may offer premium features through paid subscriptions. Subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the App.
• Use the App to transmit harmful code or malware.
• Share your account credentials with third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Smartr — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — are owned by Smartr and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Smartr is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Financial data displayed in the App is for informational purposes only and may not be completely accurate or up to date.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Smartr and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Smartr at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
